1. Scripted (Do either A or B):
A. [For person interested in boys] “I’ve been dating Deandre for a while now, and I really like him, but I want our relationship to be more serious. I’m not sure if he feels the same way as I do. He still seems like he wants to be doing his own thing. My mom has been asking about him, and I would really like him to meet her. Do you think that would be pushing it too far?”
B. [For person interested in girls] “I’ve been dating Alexandra for a while now, and I really like her, but I want our relationship to be more serious. I’m not sure if she feels the same way as I do. She still seems like she wants to be doing her own thing. My mom has been asking about her, and I would really like Alexandra to meet her. Do you think that would be pushing it too far?”
2. Unscripted: This is from a scene where you are asked, “How much do you want to be here?” For the audition, imagine your character does not want to be in the group. Say and show us why in 15-30 seconds.
Preventing HIV/AIDS Among Teens or PHAT Life is a group-based behavioral intervention for 13 to 17-year-olds that uses interactive and experiential activities to address sexual and reproductive health (e.g., sexually transmitted infections and HIV), substance use, healthy relationships, assertive communication, safer sex decision-making, condom use skills, and self-efficacy to reduce health risk behaviors. The curriculum content includes diagrams of male and female sexual anatomy and penis models as well as frank discussions of human sexuality. The curriculum contains no graphic photographs or videos.
