Kate Marquez was a sex worker and member of COYOTE, a sex workers’ rights organization, from 1979-83. She was the incorporator and has been a board member of Oregon Sex Workers Committee, is a member of the Multnomah County Sex Trafficking Network, and is the Trustee of the Carol Leigh Trust. Marquez lives in Klamath Falls, where she is a Klamath Community College Trustee and served on the Southern Oregon Leadership Council of Oregon Community Foundation. Kate worked at Oregon Research Institute from 1983-89, where she was the founding and long-serving chair of the Marketing Committee and writer/producer of Basic Skills for Working with Severely Handicapped Youth (Research Press).
