Privacy Policy

Oregon Research Behavioral Intervention Strategies, Inc., an Oregon corporation doing business as Influents Innovations (“Influents”, “us”, “we”, or “our”) operates the Support2Quit mobile application (called the “Service”). This page informs you of our policies regarding the collection, use, and disclosure of personal data when you use our Service and the choices you have associated with that data. If you are part of the Support2Quit research study, we will ask for your consent for your participation in the study and will request that you agree to additional data collection and use of data outside the scope of this policy. You will be able to discontinue participation in the study at any time and no additional data will be gathered and any previously collected data can be deleted by request.  If you are not part of the research study, by using the Service, you represent that you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy. Section 1 Information Collection and Use

Information Collection

Influents is the sole owner of the information collected on the Support2Quit app and any other related domains or websites. We collect information from our users at several different points on our Service.

Registration

We may collect certain contact information (such as name and email address). If we collect this information it is only to provide any required legal notifications.

Video

By using the Support2Quit app, you may be part of an online group of adults who can support and encourage each other around their shared goal of reducing or stopping their use of cigarettes. This support occurs through the recording and sharing of videos related to activities that focus on avoiding cigarettes. These videos will be created, posted and stored within the app.

Section 2 Information Use

Profile

We store information that we collect through cookies, and log files to create an internal profile of our users. These profiles are comprised of stored information that we keep on individual users which details user history and viewing preferences. Consequently, such information may be tied to the users’ personally identifiable information. Your profile is only shared in aggregate, de-identified form as part of our analysis of usage.

Cookies

A cookie is a piece of data stored on the user’s computer tied to information about the user. We use both session ID cookies and persistent cookies. A persistent cookie is a small text file stored on the user’s hard drive for an extended period of time. Persistent cookies can be removed by following internet browser help file directions. By setting a cookie on our site, users would not have to log in a password more than once, thereby saving time while on our site. If users reject the cookie, they may still use our site, but may be unable to use certain functions. Persistent cookies enable us to track and target the interests of our users to enhance the experience on our site. See the “Profile” section.

Log Files

We use log files, including internet protocol (IP) addresses, browser type, internet service provider (ISP), referring/exit pages, platform type, date/time stamp, and number of clicks to analyze trends, administer the site, track user’s movement in the aggregate, and gather broad demographic information for aggregate use.

 Other Usage data

When users access the Service by or through a mobile device, this Usage Data may include information such as the type of mobile device used, the mobile device unique ID, the IP address of the mobile device, the mobile operating system, the type of mobile Internet browser used, unique device identifiers and other diagnostic data.

Section 3 Communications From the Site

Service Announcements

On rare occasions, it is necessary to send out a strictly service related announcement or legal disclosures. For instance, if our service is temporarily suspended for maintenance we might send users an email. Generally, users may not opt-out of these communications, though they can deactivate their account. Please note that these communications are not promotional in nature.

Section 4 Sharing – Generally

We will share your personal information with third parties only in the ways that are described in this privacy policy.

Required Disclosures

Though we make every effort to preserve user privacy, we may need to disclose personal information when required by law wherein we have a good-faith belief that such action is necessary to comply with a current judicial proceeding, a court order or legal process served on Influents Innovations when we believe in good faith that disclosure is necessary to protect our rights, protect your safety or the safety of others, investigate fraud, or respond to a government request, or to any other third party with your prior consent to do so.

Aggregate Information (non-personally identifiable)

We may share aggregated demographic information with our research partners. This is not linked to any personally identifiable information.

Employees

Influents Innovations employees access nonpublic information in relation to their job functions and the services they provide to you. We maintain physical, electronic, and procedural safeguards that comply with the federal standards to guard your nonpublic information.

Section 5 Chat Rooms, Message Boards, Leader Boards, Public Forums

Please keep in mind that whenever you voluntarily disclose personal information online – for example on message boards, through e-mail, or in chat areas – that information can be collected and used by others. In short, by posting personal information online that is publicly accessible, you may receive unsolicited messages from other parties in return. To request removal of any personal information from any community forum within our Service, contact us at support@influentsin.com.

Section 6 Security

We make diligent efforts to protect your information. When users submit sensitive information via the Website, their information is protected both online and off-line. When our registration/order form asks users to enter sensitive information, such information is encrypted and is protected with SSL.

While we use SSL to protect sensitive information online, we also do everything in our power to protect user-information off-line. Only employees who need the information to perform a specific job are granted access to personally identifiable information. Finally, the servers that store personally identifiable information are in a secure environment. No method of transmission over the internet, or method of electronic storage, is 100% secure, however. Therefore, we cannot guarantee its absolute security.

Section 7 User Choice and Opt-out

If your personal information changes, or if you no longer desire our service or to participate in our study, you may correct, update, amend, delete/remove, or deactivate it by emailing us at support2quit@influentsin.com.

Section 8 Notification of Changes

If we change our privacy policy, we will post those changes to this privacy policy, the Website, and other places we deem appropriate so our users are always aware of what information we collect, how we use it, and under what circumstances, if any, we disclose it. If we make any material changes we will notify you by email or by means of a notice on this Website prior to the change becoming effective.
